Quinta Rosana This luxurious, secluded villa, an extensively & beautifully refurbished moorish farmhouse with jacuzzi, fully stocked self service bar and sauna, nestles among pine woods in the quiet uplands of the conservation area near the south western tip of the Algarve, where the fragrance of pine, eucalyptus and mimosa pervades the air.
It is an ideal retreat for walkers, nature-lovers, naturalists and those wanting a self-catering peaceful, romantic holiday. Just 2kms away is the small town of Vila do Bispo with its narrow winding streets and whitewashed cottages. Sit back and watch the local lifestyle over a beer or meal in one of its excellent restaurants, cafes or bars. Walk along or relax on one of the many uncrowded beaches within a short drive on both coasts. For the more energetic you can take a walk or cycle ride through the beautiful countryside of the National Park to the coast. Other old, rural villages dot the area, which are rich in historic sites, traditional restaurants and long, uncrowded, sandy beaches.
It is only an hour away from the mountains of Monquiche. The local Portuguese are very friendly, making everyone welcome which, combined with the warm climate and excellent food and drink, make a very pleasant holiday. A car is highly recommended. Nearest airport: Faro-100kms or 1 1/2 hours drive. It is also a very pleasant drive from Lisbon - 300kms or 3 1/2 hours
